IMPORTANT INFORMATION


Nominations are open to the global travel and hospitality industry.

Submissions can be either self nominated (where entrant and nominator are the same) or entries can be made on behalf of an entrant (where the nominator is different to the entrant).


It's easy and free to enter the Global Resilience Council Hall of Fame. Just follow these simple steps.

  1. Choose the award you would like to enter from the list below. 
  2. If you haven't entered before you will be prompted to register. You'll then get a confirmation email with a link you must click before you can complete your entry. 
  3. You will need to make sure the award is added to your basket. To do so, please select the award from the drop down list and click 'add selected'. 
  4. Fill in the nomination form.
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click 'complete'. Please note you will need to check the box 'I have read and accept the Terms and Conditions' to submit your nomination.
  6. You can come back and edit your entries right up until the final deadline.

Hall of Fame Membership

Induction into the Hall of Fame is an honour bestowed on only the most successful and the most remarkable operators in the travel, hospitality, leisure and tourism sectors.

Being elected to the Hall of Fame represents the ultimate proof of peer recognition for a successful career or a remarkable achievement. Inductees will have developed businesses that have changed the face or the course of their industry sector and had a profound influence on their fellow professionals. Their success may often have been mimicked, but never bettered.

To be considered, an individual must demonstrate exceptional resilience through preparedness, perseverance, adaptability, positivity, a strong support network, effective problem-solving skills, a growth mindset and persistence. This award recognises those who exemplify these qualities, aiming to inspire others in the travel industry to prioritise preparedness and resilience.

Hall of Fame Membership for an Organisation

Induction into the Hall of Fame is an honour bestowed on only the most successful and the most remarkable operators in the travel, hospitality, leisure and tourism sectors.

This award will go to an organisation in the private or public sector which has achieved global impact and can demonstrate how its actions have systemically impacted the global travel industry. Its efforts can be traced over the last year or the last decade and will show how it has enriched offerings to allow travellers to experience global understanding and tolerance.

Impact Award

This prestigious award acknowledges organisations and destinations that have made a profound impact, setting new standards for excellence in tourism. The award celebrates exceptional contributions to the travel industry, honouring those who have significantly enhanced the tourism experience through innovation, sustainability and community engagement. Whether through preserving cultural heritage, promoting eco-friendly practices or fostering local development, our awardees are trailblazers who inspire positive change and enrich the travel landscape.

Non-Profit & Association Award

This award recognises the efforts of organisations that are leading the way in building a resilient and sustainable tourism industry for the future. The award will be presented to a travel and tourism association or non-profit business that exemplifies these qualifications and demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainability, environmental impact, social responsibility and transparency.

Resilience Award

This award applies to both destinations and organisations, requiring the nominee to provide specific evidence of the crisis they have overcome. Nominees must share the efforts deployed from a preparedness perspective or lessons learnt from a lack of preparedness. They should describe scenario training conducted before or after the crisis and detail what actions should have been taken but were not.

Sustainable Business Award

This award honours organisations committed to sustainability and resilience. The travel and tourism industry is a leader in global sustainability efforts, emphasising responsible and ethical practices. Nominees will demonstrate the following:

  • Strong environmental commitment
  • Active engagement with local communities
  • Upholding responsible tourism practices
  • Implementing climate action strategies
  • Comprehensive resilience planning
  • Ensuring transparency and accountability
